Terms of Service

By accessing or using HTMLPDF.dev ("the Service") at htmlpdf.dev, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users — visitors, registered accounts, and API consumers. Use of the Service also constitutes acceptance of our Privacy Policy.

HTMLPDF.dev provides an HTML-to-PDF generation API including:

• On-demand HTML and URL-to-PDF conversion via REST API
• An interactive playground for testing PDF generation
• A web dashboard for managing API keys, usage, and billing
• Multiple subscription tiers with different usage limits

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide a valid email address and verify it
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and API keys
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

API keys authenticate your requests. You must:

• Keep API keys confidential — never commit them to public repositories
• Not use another user's API key
• Rotate keys immediately if you suspect compromise

We are not liable for damages resulting from unauthorised use of your API keys due to your failure to keep them secure.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate PDFs from content you do not have the right to reproduce
• Produce illegal, defamatory, obscene, or IP-infringing documents
• Create PDFs used for phishing, fraud, impersonation, or deceptive purposes
• Bypass or circumvent access-control systems on third-party websites when using URL mode
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks or send abusive volumes of requests
• Resell or redistribute the Service without prior written agreement
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems

Subscription Plans

The Service is offered under six tiers — Free, Starter, Growth, Business, Scale, and Enterprise — each with defined monthly PDF generation quotas and rate limits as described on our pricing page.

Billing Cycle

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. All prices are in Euros (EUR).

Usage Limits

Monthly PDF generation quotas reset on your billing date. Unused quota does not roll over. Exceeding your quota causes API requests to return 429 until the next cycle or a plan upgrade.

Upgrades & Downgrades

Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Cancellation

Cancel any time from Dashboard → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months.

Free Plan

The Free plan carries no SLA guarantee. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue it with 30 days' notice.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] within 14 days of the charge.

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content, is owned byHTMLPDF.dev and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logo, or trademarks without prior written consent.

You retain ownership of content you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

The Service renders third-party URLs to PDF at your request. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for third-party content, privacy policies, or practices. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with each website's terms and applicable law.

We target 99.9% monthly uptime for paid plans (Starter and above) but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is announced in advance. The Free plan carries no uptime guarantee. Enterprise plan SLAs are agreed separately.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HTMLPDF.dev and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service.

You may close your account at any time from account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 8, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable member state law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of EU courts in the member state where HTMLPDF.dev is registered.

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or dashboard notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
